Mark Holden earned a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Distinction in 2011, during his apprenticeship at Barwit Control Systems, a specialist manufacturer of power and process control systems. While at the Tonbridge-based company, he was involved in the design, assembly, and installation of low-voltage control panels for lifts and escalators across the London Underground network. In 2014, Mark joined Skelly & Couch to further develop his expertise in electrical engineering within the building services sector.

Mark specialises in the design of low-voltage electrical infrastructure, lighting and lighting control systems, as well as extra-low-voltage networks, including security and fire alarm systems. His expertise is particularly focused on refurbishments of high-profile heritage projects, as well large-scale infrastructure upgrade works. He currently runs LV network upgrade projects at The National Theatre, as well as overseeing the electrical design of Theatr Clwyd, a Grade II listed theatre in North Wales.

Mark is highly experienced in using electrical design software such as Trimble ProDesign and Dialux, and is proficient in using Revit and AutoCAD as part of his daily workflow. He has contributed to numerous award-winning projects, supporting them through all stages of design, construction, and completion. Since working at Skelly and Couch Mark has achieved a chartership (CENG) with CIBSE.

Mark enjoys playing most sports, long hikes with his dog and going out for meals with friends and family.
